Hi Kenda,

When you can do weight loss, you can do anything. I suggest taking 5-PATH training and getting Cal Banyan's BOLSM CD's on the subject. Once I started implementing his teachings my clients did way better. The problem is, it's jut too much info to put in one post, but these tips will get you started.

Make SURE they know the work you do with them will IN ADDITION TO their effort. They still have to work at it.

Remember toyou are working from both a habit stand point and emotional stand point. People over eat out of habit and conditioning and to distract from a bad feeling inside.

The habits can be suggested away in hypnosis.

The emotions must be nuetralized withe regression work, EFT or both.

The world is constantly sending messages that food is irresistable and while the hypnosis sessions you do will combat that WHILE they are getting the sessions, they'll need something to help after like: self hypnosis, CDs, and/or something or someone to be accountable to like weight watchers, you, a personal trainer, a nutritionist, an on-line group or some other way is helpful.

Some people will change their habits and behaviors and motivation, but they still won't lose weight. Why? Either they are not aware that they are still eating too much (they need to keep a diary), or they need to speed up their metabolism with exercise, or they are too toxic and need a very good cleanse, or they have a health issue that needs to be treated.

I give a CD out and have them listen to it once per week between sessions and then as needed after. I see my client 4-6 sessions. During those sessions we work on changing the way they think of food, how they react to it, habits, behaviors and I help them bring up the beliefs and feelings that are causing the problem and change/nuetralize them.

We also work on nuetralizing ANY strong emotion present because people try to feel better by eating a lot of times. So any decrease in internal emotional pressure helps them have more control.

In the Direct suggestion I most often use suggestions that work on these areas:

Better food choices
Less food
Eating Less often
Eating only when hungry or when it is time to eat
Getting full faster when eating
Stopping eating when full
Creating fullness that lasts
Naturally supressing the appetite
Living LIfe and forgetting about food for hours at a time.

There can also be special things they need work on like particulare strong habit with a food or drink or not being swayed by friends or family and execizing.

I've attached two weight loss scripts from my upcoming weight loss script book I am working on and hope to have out soon. See them below and good luck. Let me know if this is helpful.

Hope that helps!

Celeste, thank you very very much. It is so interesting to see what other people are doing out there. I have a project I am about to be starting with my business partner Jason Gordon. Where we will be working with a woman who weighs in excess of 300 lbs, and wants ever so badly to loose the weight. We will be assisted by a high level Personal Trainer that she will be seeing along with us on a weekly basis. So any knoweldge we can gain on the subject is very much appreciated.

What do you think of Paul McKenna's style " I can make you thin" ?

Kind regards,

Kenda.

I also thank you for sharing your scripts. It helps me feel mor confident when I can compare what I'm doing to what others are doing. Thanks again!

You are welcome. I'm glad you like the scripts. One thing I failed to mention is that I also do a little education on how to respond to feelings so that one is not stuffing them with food. IN other words how to resove feelings that come up in the present. Regression and EFT will take care of the subconscious ones. I recommend The Secret Language of Feelings, a book by Cal Banyan for more info on understanding feelings and how they cause weight gain and other problems.

I listened to all of Paul McKenna's weight Loss Cd's just recently in that series and I thought they were fine. Mostly uses, Direct suggestion, nlp and metaphor in them. What is missing is getting rid of the internal stuff that is driving the overeating. So these styles in my opnion, while they can do a lot, really are only putting a band aid on the problem for a lot of peole and when the bandaide wears off the weight can come back on very easily.

Again what is needed is regression and/or very good EFT work. I prefer regression by a mile.

Hello Kenda,

I really enjoy weight clients, here are some of my experiences and strategies.

Most clients are eager to get on the scale or pull out the measuring tape. Often times they are aware that they have not lost any weight, maybe even gained some, yet they still do the measuring. I often ask "What was the purpose?" In my opinion it is a sabotaging event, creating them to prove that they can not do it. Most clients will offer that they will put the scale away where they can not see it. Actually, utilize the scale or measuring tape, as a temptation, keep it within view letting it tempt the client like candy. "Only when you are certain you have lost one lbs may you get on the scale, agreed?" . I incorporate this visually and emotionally while they are in hypnosis as well.
One client I have has made a decision that she will get on her scale when her wrist watch can be pushed up her arm to a certain point she has designated.

I often give my clients homework, here are my three most popular:
1. When you are in the bathroom stretch and take 3 deep refreshing breaths (re-enforced in our hypnosis sessions) stimulating your bodies metabolism.
2. I have them research their favorite fruit and vegetable. At the next session, I have them tell me about the benefits and in hypnosis I have them breath the health of the fruit or vegetable into every cell of their body. (often the research indirectly causes them to crave the fruit or vegetible)
3. At night before they go to bed, I have them put their hands on their stomach, as they exhale notice their stomach as it gets thinner and thinner.
I very much focus them on all of the stuff they can do and eat, and I pay little focus on the negative.

One client I brought a cabbage salad to and had them research all the ingredients. Once the client realizes what the food can do for them it seems to become easier for them to want the food.

I do a lot of educating about food and benefits. I have many, many other strategies, that have been successful.

I hope this information is helpful for you, It is sometimes hard to write it down with precision.

Let me know if these have been helpful.

You may even find reading this article is making you crave a refreshing crunchy green salad with all of your most mouth watering vegetables ;)

With best regards,

Elizabeth

.Hi Kenda, the amount of sessions needed depends on the client, I have good results with just one session, but it really does depend on the client.
Some of my clients have just wanted that motivation to “stay on track” so one session is enough.
Over eating is often an emotional issue and dieting can’t fix that but hypnotherapy can. It’s about making mental changes.
I hear the same things over and over again from clients
Everyone in my family is overweight
I have big bones.
My metabolism is slow.
I have done every diet, none work.
So it’s putting an end to people’s negatives beliefs about themselves, changing their believes in themselves.
Our thoughts affect our body, and one way to show a client this is to go through this exercise with them, it always surprises them.
Get the client to stand and to make a fist and make that arm strong and rigid, and hold that arm out to the side shoulder height, you then push down on the clients arm to test its ridged/strong. Telling them to keep their arm strong.
Now get the client to think of all those negative beliefs, think them at least 8 times “I am fat” “and so on. Now thinking those thoughts get the client to make a strong arm again and repeat the strength test, the arm will lose all strength.
Now get the client to think of positive thoughts repeating them silently or loud “I’m losing the weight easily, and enjoying every moment of it” now do the strength test again and the arm will be strong.
I it’s an excellent way to get the client to realise just how important our thought are, what affect they have on us.
I use this on most of my clients and not just for weight control, it can be used for confidence, anxiety almost all things.
I also give out a CD with my voice on which is approx 20mins.
I also use motivation anchors, EFT, hypnotherapy
P.S
Celeste how kind of you to share the scripts, thank you
