One word: Ativan. Low dosage. As needed. Good.
I've got one hand in my pocket(holding my case of ativan)
And the other one giving you a high five.

Yep...I like ativan.
A lot of other people like it too.

Combined with meditation. Well, sir, you've got yourself a therapy.

Just one question... why do you want hypnotists to comment on your statement?

Ativan almost killed me recently (a paradoxical reaction) so I'm not a big fan, I have to admit.

Ativan should only be used as perscribed by a doctor... It can have adverse and sometimes hullisagenic effects.....

Ativan is addicting and is sold under the generic name of lorazepam, and most states have limits on controlled drugs that will not allow a pharmacist to fill it after a certain time duration so that unless the number is increased on the prescription it cannot be refilled.
I had diffrent clients who used it to treat anxiety, help induce sleep, panic disorders, etc.
I know it from one client who stoped taking avitan on his own and it caused more damage then help, since this class includes valium, librium and several more ( lol - I had to check my notes, other wise I won't be able to remember all this info ). Yes It says, they are addicting and should not be stopped "cold turkey" since they can esperience seizures as a result. The drug is a sedative and will have the side effect of depression in some patients. My client was pricribed to use it for six month time on a regular basis but he did stopped taking it after few weeks because he was afraid to be addicted to it, only if he knew that he if he stopped it sooner, it was going to mess him up more... I learned that people who use avitan can expect some physical and mental dependency. I would express my concerns in a non-judgmental way. It would be helpful if you consolt your doctor and i hope you didn't just buy it on line...

I usually recomand allternative healing and better to talk to your physician as well, I personally don't like medication unless I ubsultly must have it.

Hi Mentat -

Many people find a small dose of benzodiazapines, on a PRN (Pro Rata Notem - as needed) basis very helpful. However, you should be aware that such medication can be habit-forming and that many users develop a tolerance (i.e. over time you need more of the drug to get the same effect!). The problem is that, through regular use, people experience the mental state they enter when on such drugs to be their "normal" state. Consequently, they do not feel "right" without them.

However, I agree with you - there is a therapeutic effect. This should not, though, be viewed as a lifestyle!

My advice: less ativan, more meditation. Learn to relax and enjoy life - cultivate a sense of "flow" and talk to your doctor about lifestyle changes which might lessen your stress levels.

I wish you well, whatever choices you make. Feel free to send me a private message if I can help with anything.
