This has been an exciting week, culminating in an unexpected hour-long telephone call with Dr. Michael Preston, author of "Medicine of the Mind". I studied extensively with Dr. Preston in the early 1990's and haven't seen or spoken with him in many years. It still amazes me after 16 years in the business. I go to at least 4 conferences each year and it still amazes me how many professional Hypnotists espouse the "belief" that you can't, or shouldn't, or better not use the word "Hypnosis" when you are out in the community giving talks. I can't imagine (and don't want to) a more limiting belief for a Hypnotherapist to hold. When I was first Certified in 1992, that was what I was told.
