Hi there,

I stumbled upon your page while reading forums and such, and thought I would drop you a line. As a firm believer in acupuncture (has worked wonders for me), I definitely admire that you combine hypnotic techniques with acupuncture. Hopefully we will get the chance to chat one of these days. If you ever have a hypnotherapy training or presentation in the Southern California area I would love to join the fun and learn more about what you do best. :)

Thanks,

Erika

I want to learn more about your CPI: Conversational Persuasion & Influence System and Killer Influence: Secrets of Covert Hypnosis, maybe even find materials regarding them. Is there another website I can visit to accomplish this? Thank you for your assistance.

Hey David!

things up here are spectacular. Business booming, lots of fun stuff in the works. One downside is, there is about 1.5 meters of snow out there. According to news, this winter has recently beaten the all-time total snow record for Montreal! I've been getting great cardio workouts digging my way out of the house frequently :)

How are things in sunny California? You're always invited to come up here for some fun and perhaps profit, too.

Warm regards,
Ze'ev

There are many similiarities between NLP and CPI, or conversational hypnosis. Truth is universal. The reason to do this with a client in particular is because your job as a therapist is to facilitate change in your client using what ever means are ethically available.

Many clients are looking, and waiting for "The Hypnosis to Start" and immediately start to analyze and often times question the processes you are putting them through thus activating the part of the mind that we as hypnotists must neutralize in order to create change within the client -- the critical factor.

Using CPI during your intake and pretalk can go along way in installing powerful suggestions in the mind of your client thus creating an environment where change is expected and easy and in fact many times the therapy is done before the "Induction" even begins.

The problem with a lot of Ericksonian style conversational hypnosis is that it relies too much on confusion and vagueness to be useful during your initial intake and pre-talk.

The use of the Streamlined CPI Model Gives you a powerful roadmap to follow that automatically allows you to deliver undetectable and often irresistable hypnotic instructions directly to the Unconcsious mind, reorient the critical factor during the pre-talk and create powerful presupositions for change while setting the stage for a more effective induction without sounding confusing or vague in any way.

Plus the use of the CPI Method during an actual induction can layer so many presuppositions to the unconscious mind at the same time that even if the person is trying to analyse what you are saying the structures create the change inside your mind anyway.

Hope that helps you.

Hi David, Your explaination was great and I understand fully. Is it something like NLP and why would one want to do this with a client?

Enjoy Life,

Don
