Pnosis,

I am the native Washingtonian who now lives in beautiful Western NC. I hope you will read the following:

Since receiving your e-mail last night and seeing this article way too many times on hypnothoughts.com, I have had an idea. Now granted, I am no way an expert in hypnosis or NLP. But how could Obama be using “covert hypnosis” or “NLP techniques” if he does not know what those are? Now, I’m not saying he isn’t a very persuasive speaker and probably even manipulative - but I think most people agree that persuasiveness, manipulation and even “mesmerizing” started way before Bandler, Grinder and even Mesmer. There are and always have been lots of good “salesmen” out there.

I must admit that I teach my folks who are looking for employment how to be persuasive and manipulative during the job seeking process - on their resumes, application forms and especially during the interview, thank you notes, etc.. I hope I might even be accused by some of being a “hack hypnotist” or “black ops” person” who uses and teaches some covert hypnosis - but that’s another story and a serious matter of semantics because up until recently, I had no idea what was entailed in hypnosis and had never heard of Neuro-Linguistic Programming. But, I’ve been doing what I do for over 35 years.
(Sorry, I digressed.)

So, there you are sitting inside the beltline. After the election, perhaps you could find someone on the other side of the aisle than you are who knows Obama or at least someone close to him.

Then we could find out if Obama knows hypnosis and/or NLP. As far as I’m concerned, it would be then and only then that the treatise that appears in Freedom’s Phoenix (whatever that is) could be confirmed.

If Obama doesn’t know hypnosis and/or NLP, perhaps we can then just suppose that he is following in the footsteps of persuasive orators who have been around for as least as long as recorded history.

p.s. This was one of my favorites. “The polls are misleading because some of Obama’s commands are designed to be triggered only in the voting booth on November 4th.”

Guess the anonymous author and Dr. Horton didn’t consider early voting. Guess I’ll just try to vote again tomorrow.

I read about your "font size" dilemma. You should be able to implement this simple javascript fairly easily. Here's the link:

Hi Pnosis!
Thanks for the offer of friendship. Sorry I haven't got back to you before now. But Iv'e been preoccupied with work, which from my extensive experience in such matters -is a wildly overrated pastime.
