Hey, everybody. I am at the Courtland Grand Hotel pool where we are going to be doing hypnothoughts live 2027, and there's a bar right there. But as Stephanie and I are location scouting, were talking about what makes hypnothoughts live special and what we really care about. And as we did, we really just started talking about Carm and what he did for Mid America and what he just did for Hypnothoughts. And we realized that many of you have not seen the video where I shared what Carm sent me in the mail, but really, what he sent all of you in the mail. So check out the video of what Carm sent all of you and send him a thank you and I'll let you know how this all goes when I'm back.

The world's largest hypnosis library just got way bigger, and I am going to do my best to get through this video without genuinely crying tears of gratitude for one man who made that possible. You see, everybody, I just got a pretty big box in the mail full of things that look like this. Now, for those of you under the age of 30, these are audio CDs. It's what we used before we had ipods, which is what we used before we had iPhones. And this happens to be an audio CD of the 2008 Mid America Hypnosis Conference. I got a box full of all of them every year. And not just those. No, no. Also all the paperwork. This is the 2005 one. See, I got it all. These are all the course descriptions from 2005.

Like I said, it's a whole big box that came in the mail with a letter that I won't read to you from Carm. And most of you just know him as Carm, just like I have for a long time. Abu Kharma is the guy who has run the Mid America Hypnosis Conference for a long time and for decades. And the man is an amazing person. And I won't get into all the reasons. The Mid America Hypnosis Conference and CARM both have been huge inspirations to me personally and major inspirations to the development of Hypnothoughts Live Really Sincerely. Carm has given me great feedback and great mentorship all along the way and actually believes in me foolishly enough to give me a lifetime achievement award while I was in my 30s. And it is the only hypnosis award I display.

02:37

And it says the first half of a lifetime achievement award. And Carm just sent Me this box of more and more CDs. Which year is this? This is 2007. With a letter saying I'm donating all of this to the Hypnothoughts Library and to Scott Sandlin. And he said his only request is that we give it away to all of you for free as part of your membership with all of the hypnothoughts live stuff. So we don't charge any extra. It's not for sale. It's just part of your membership. And we're going to do something. I haven't figured out what yet. Some sort of scholarship or gratitude to pay it forward. But this is a data set that. I know what's in it without digging through the box. I know there's classes by Larry Garrett in here.

03:36

I know there's amazing lectures from Melissa Roth in here. There's things I disagree with from Scott Giles in here. There's amazing stuff in this box, and it’s so good and it's so cool.

And it's going to make SAGE better and. And it's going to round out your understanding of hypnosis. And it's going to make the answers Sage can give you and the research you can do and the depth that means all this work doesn't get lost to time. We get to build the Library of Alexandria, and this is the first step of that. Carm, you just did something amazing. Watch me get greedy. If anybody else wants to follow their lead, I don't know how we're going to do it. I don't have the wherewithal right now for. For donating your respective libraries. I'm not even thinking that way. I'm just all of a sudden thinking I'm going to get four more boxes and some Google Drives. I didn't think that was going to happen yet. And so I haven't really figured out how I want to structure that.

04:58

So right now I'm just going to be really grateful. And. And I would. I would like you all to just share in that gratitude. And thank you, Carm. And thank you to the Mid America Hypnosis Conference. I don't know how much the board was involved in the licensing rights and the contract that you sent me and all that. I don't know the details of any of that. I just have gratitude and a lot of reading of CDs to do. Yeah, thanks, man. Thanks a lot. Everybody. Say thank you to Carm. It will become very obvious to many of you over the course of time how important this gesture was. And with all due respect to how brilliant so many of you are, I think the magnitude of this donation is lost on initial on sort of first blush.

06:03

And the more you think about it, the more amazing a gift. Thank you, Carm, and I will continue to do my best to pay it forward.
